Selective Demolition Phase
Talisman was selected by Lydig Construction to perform the selective demolition scope of work for the renovation of Troy Hall on the campus of WSU. Talisman completely stripped the interior of the four-story structure and selectively removed all of the concrete structure/floors. The work required close coordination with various trades to ensure the safe and timely completion of the shoring and demolition activities.
Restoration Phase
TCS was contracted to investigate the condition of the existing terra cotta cornice on Troy Hall (a 1920’s brick building in the WSU Pullman Campus core) and report findings along with recommendations for repair. After completing the investigation and report/recommendations, TCS was contracted to complete the terra cotta restoration, cleaning, and reinstallation work as well as the masonry infill, reinstallation, restoration, cleaning, and sealing work necessary to fully restore the building exterior. In addition to the restoration scope of work, TCS was also contracted to perform extensive selective demolition and shoring work that included completely stripping the interior of the four-story structure and removing all of its concrete structural components and floors.
