As part of the overall renovations and additions to the school, Talisman completed the selective demolition work associated with the renovation of the original portion of the school opened in 1932. Talisman performed the work over several phases and years starting in 2007 and finishing in early 2009.
The work involved removal of both structural and non-load bearing assemblies including cast in place stair systems, plaster and masonry walls, ceilings and finishes. Today, the school is listed on the National Historic Register and is a symbol of the redevelopment of Northeast Spokane area known as Hillyard.
